John Cougar Mellencamp with I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.  Another 1980's Christmas song.  This would fall more under country music these days then rock as it fell under back in the 80's.  Interesting how the times have redefined music genres.

Now this is a very interesting music video.  Billy Idol animated.  The song has a catchy tune to it.  Not a song we heard during that era.  Worth putting on here though.

Wham, With Their Christmas Music Hit, Last Christmas, MTV Version

The MTV version of Wham's hit song, Last Christmas.  One of the all time great original Christmas songs of the 1980's.  Kicking it back a few decades.  Were times better then?  No, just different.  Inflation was pretty high, the press complained about the politicians, jobs at the first part of the decade were scarce, and unemployment was high.  Though there wasn't a draft, everyone that turned 18 had to sign up for the potential of being drafted.  TV was very different.  There were no reality TV shows.  Video games were just starting to come out for the home market, otherwise everyone went to the video arcade to play the latest releases.

Home computers were just starting to come out.  A gig of anything was unheard of and considered massive information.  There were no Windows OS's.    You coded your own work.  Internet was unknown to the masses.  High tech meant you had an awesome stereo and maybe a VCR.  Cable TV was not the dominant force it is today.  Only rich people had car phones.  What the heck was a fax machine anyway?  It was simply a different time.  Everything changes.  Some for the better, some not so much the better.

The Christmas Story, By; Sound System, Free Mp3 Album Downloads

The Christmas Story.  Another full album of Christmas music to add to your collection.  Play the tracks and any you like, you are free to download.  It's a good thing it's almost Christmas as we are about out of Christmas albums to bring you.  At first, we didn't think that this would be possible as we found a great deal of Christmas music out there.  Maybe we started to early in bringing everyone Christmas music.  We started at the same time as the radio stations started bringing you the tunes on the radio.  The main difference is we let you keep the music.  The radio only lets you hear the music.

After Christmas day, we will have to stop trying to bring any more Christmas music in for downloads as we are very much maxed out now on all of our sources for great tunes.  We are not complaining though as it has forced us into finding additional sources for music to continue to bring everyone.  And we have found some truly wonderful stuff out there.  Something for everyone.  Classical to Hip Hop to heavy metal to country to blue grass and celtic.  In 2014 we will load you up with so much music that you will wish you had gotten several Mp3 players for Christmas.

  Merry Christmas and enjoy.

My Metal Christmas.  Free downloads on just about all of the tracks above.  Now there is some really good stuff on here and there is some stuff that is okay.  A couple of the tracks hits us with an opinion of, "What the heck were you folks thinking?"  So how do you download tracks?  See the area where it says download on the far left side by the album cover?  Click on that.  Then the download should start in a matter of seconds.  Hey, it's free and how can you possibly complain about free stuff?  More to add to your Christmas collection.  Merry Christmas and enjoy.

Ox3 or Out of Orion has a number of Christmas albums and we are having a hard time finding other composers with full Christmas album offers, so as long as we can continue to bring you great tunes, we are going to do so.  We thinned out the best free music available for download out there.  We are down to a very limited collection.  We can continue to bring you plenty of music after the season is over.  In fact, we have millions of tracks to choose from.  So you are going to have to stay with us after the season is over to grab more great tunes especially if you get a new Mp3 player for Christmas or a tablet that is going to need some songs on it.

Band Aid - Let Them Know It's Christmas Time, Video

From 1984.  Serious flash back.  It's a great song so we went out and looked up the video.  Found it on numerous sites but pulled it in from YouTube.  Other sites had long ads attached to the video and it was the same video, so YouTube won the porting game.  The song was created back in 1984 to raise money to feed the hungry.  One has to wonder if sales of the song still continue and if so, where that money is going.  Are sales still supporting that cause or is the song now being milked for profits only?  We went out to find more information on this.  It turns out that the folks behind the song caved to pressure from various avenues insinuating that the lyrics of the song were highly misleading and that a remake of the song in 2004 was probably the last version.

Many in the pop music culture thought the song was pretty bad considering the talent that went into the entire production.  We don't care, we like the song and here it is.  The lyrics do have issues, but we are not discounting what they tried to do for those in need.

Above is an interesting link if you like this song.  Enough said about it.
