Your specialist ought to acquaint themselves with you and welcome you and direct you back to the massage room. The specialist should then approach you about your particular objectives for the meeting and hear you out prior to continuing. shiatsu massage near me
Anastasiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01665025327952614369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2297192100264794573.post-84770016739729177812019-10-09T13:42:39.241-04:002019-10-09T13:42:39.241-04:00A very interesting article and am pleased to see y...A very interesting article and am pleased to see you addressed the political side of the situation also. As a licensed, professional and ethical Massage Therapist I would like to say that nothing would make myself and I'm sure other professional MTs happier than to get rid of these "massage parlors." These types of establishments have hurt the credibility of the Masssge Therapy profession for many, many years. I would like to ask, however, for you to please refrain from using the title of "Massage Therapist" as most of the people employed at these places are not educated or licensed as Therapists. I have been a licensed MT for over 20 yrs, have been an instructor at several Massage schools and colleges and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association for 2 decades and a delegate on the board in the late 90s/ early 2000s - at that time the local AMTA (Virginia) was working to make it illegal for anyone to perform massage without a license (in order to close down these bogus businesses). It didn't pass. What we were told is that because Virginia has a high military population these establishments were allowed to exist - but we did get a change - the law was changed to say that anyone can practice massage in the state of Virginia without an education or license but they cannot say or advertise themselves as a Massage Therapist if they are not licensed. It is the title of Massage Therapist that depicts our education and having passed a strenuous board exam.
If you have any questions concerning Massage & Massage Therapists and the laws in Virginia-please contact:
The American Massage Therapy Association: amtamassage.org
The Virginia Board of Nursing / Department of Health Professionals: dhp.virginia.gov/nursing
or myself,

Laurie Andrews, CLSC LMT
Transformation Coaching & Wellness Center
Hayes, Va
Coachingnwellness.comLaurie A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12417720704484142541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2297192100264794573.post-80180906335829144272019-10-08T21:09:06.164-04:002019-10-08T21:09:06.164-04:00Doesn't matter, we need to vote warren out.Doesn't matter, we need to vote warren out.Dr Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04376000518151224868noreply@blogger.com
