Chick-Fil-A of Gloucester Pre Grand Opening Ceremonies

With over 150 people now firmly planted in tents throughout the parking lot of the brand new Chick-Fil-A here in Gloucester County, these brave souls started out early this morning at 6:00 AM with challenges of extreme cold, winds and ice to become one of the lucky first 100 people to win the Chick-Fil-A food for a year prizes. The first 100 event such as what is being held here is part of the chain's opening traditions that started over 7 years ago and continues to be a staple way of opening new chain stores across the nation.

This new restaurant is part of Chick-Fil-A's growth of 75 new locations for 2011. Chick-Fil-A has been in business for over 43 years and was started in Atlanta, GA at the Greenbriar Mall in 1967 by Truett Cathy. With 1530 locations in 39 states and Washington, DC the company has experienced growth each and every year.

Tomorrow morning starting at 9:00 AM, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony where Congressman Rob Wittman will speak and the county board of supervisors along with the ROTC band of Gloucester High School and the Gloucester High School Band will all be there to participate in this grand opening. We shot a live interview with John Gordon III and will have that up on the site soon. We also plan on attending the event first thing in the morning.
