FDR Restaurant which is soon to be called J&W's FOR Diner, is now owned and operated by William and Julie Davis. William Davis is the chef and all meals are prepared right here in the kitchen. Unlike other restaurants where everything comes in pre made and is just heated by the kitchen staff.
This place features a nice menu selection starting with breakfast which is served all day by the way, and is comprised by the traditional foods such as eggs, omelets, pancakes, french toast and breakfast sandwich's. Lunch consists of items like a fish sandwich, fried or grilled crab cake, ham & cheese, turkey and cheese, open face beef sandwich with 1 side, pork BBQ, and so much more. Ala Cart side include fries, onion rings, cole slaw, green beans, red beets, potato of the day and more. There is also the special Billy's Build A Burger which is a half pound burger and comes with chips.
Diner is a nice mix ranging from North Carolina Style BBQ, Liver & Onions, Baked Meatloaf, Hamburger Steak, Chicken Scampi, Chicken Fingers, Country Fried Steak, Pastas, Seafood that includes 2 sides and are Crab cake, Oysters, Shrimp or Shrimp Scampi.
Prices are very reasonable too. Here is a breakfast example; Western Omelet with ham and cheese, peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese, home fries, or grits and toast, the price is $6.59. We will give you an update after we eat there. The place is incredibly clean and the owners were very nice. You won't go wrong with this dining choice.
