Gloucester, VA Real Estate Sales Along Highway 17 Are Telling

If you have not been paying attention, maybe it's time you did.  Are you missing the big profit potentials along route 17 in the Page Middle school area?  It's the development mecca of the future in this county and it's being snatched up as fast as it can be grabbed by people who seem to have an inside track as to what is going on and what will be going on in the future.

Take a look at the names on the real estate transactions and start asking yourself a lot of questions as to why these folks are buying up what they are.  Also start paying more attention to what the Board of Supervisors are bringing up and start asking a lot of questions there are well.  Who will benefit?  What did they know in advance and what do they know now?  One name you will see below keeps coming up as a person very much part of the secret government of Gloucester that does everything behind closed doors that the public will never have access to through the Gloucester Main Street Preservation Trust.  Ashley Chriscoe, Board of Supervisor member, is on the board of this non profit foundation that was once listed as a fraternity but has since been changed to have the appearance of a more acceptable trust.  It's not a 501 (c) 3 tax deductible foundation but instead a 501 (c) 4 foundation that does not have a tax deductible status for any potential financial contributions made to it.

All of the above information is a matter of public record.  Take a very close look at the assessed values of each of these properties and what they ended up selling for.  Everything between WaWa and Lowe's along route 17 in Gloucester is very hot and getting hotter.  Any investment holding period for this area should be considered for around 5 to 10 years.

There is no question that special considerations will be sought to avoid expenses by those who own property along this area and that these interests will want you, the local citizen who will gain nothing by their investments, will profit nothing from them but higher taxes to support their own profit returns.  Again, that means that the Board of Supervisors will need to be watched very carefully on everything that comes up to see if they are trying to sneak in extra expenses on us.  Anything coming out of the Gloucester Main Street Preservation Trust must be viewed with incredibly skeptical eyes as well as anything brought up by Ashley Chriscoe as he sits on their board.  More of a liability than an asset to anyone in the county for the stated reason in our view.

Above, the Gloucester Main Street shopping center owned by the Gloucester Main Street Preservation Trust with the very clear sign of Ba al in the design of their buildings.  Below, the sign of Ba al shown.  See:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baal  for further information on the meaning.  This gives a much better idea of why the Gloucester Main Street Preservation Trust likes to do everything behind closed doors and out of the public view in our opinion.

Isn't it interesting to note where they have placed one of their symbols?  Right above one of their offices.  Yes it means something.  What, exactly, is the main question.  Is anyone comfortable with anyone in the county working with these people at any level?  All hail Ba al?

Go to Virginiaroads.org for interactive maps that show latest paving conditions and construction projects across the state

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has launched a new interactive portal, www.Virginiaroads.org, that provides a one-stop information source to VDOT data and projects. The Governor made his announcement while speaking at the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Brookings Institution’s Eco-Engineering Forum 2014: The New Eco-System of Information on Harnessing the Potential of Big Data.

An important feature of this new portal are interactive maps showing current and planned road construction projects included in the Six-Year Improvement Program as well as pavement conditions and resurfacing projects. Some of the data  made available through this app is in response to requests by Virginia broadband providers to have greater visibility and earlier notice regarding road construction and repair  projects.  Providing access to this data will facilitate coordination between VDOT and broadband providers seeking to build new infrastructure.

Virginiaroads.org is a prime example of the type of project I envisioned when we launched our Data.Virginia initiative aimed at using data to make government more transparent,” said Governor McAuliffe. “It’s as simple as clicking on the link, selecting a location and seeing in a glance the status of current and future transportation projects.  The information is easily accessible and open for to the public to see how their taxpayer dollars are being invested to improve Virginia’s road system.”

“A good transportation program depends on VDOT providing clear information that is relevant and available to the public,” stressed Transportation Secretary Aubrey Layne.  “Virginiaroads.org turns complex data into knowledge, allowing the public to become more engaged with their transportation program.”

Virginiaroads.org features a series of interactive maps in a central online location.  One of the maps displays current construction projects, projects in the design phase, projects scheduled to go to construction and future projects. Projects can be searched via project stage, location, route or street name and the project identification number as it is listed in the Six-Year Improvement Program.

Another map shows pavement conditions, with colors identifying whether a section of pavement is in excellent, good, fair or poor condition.  You can click on a section of pavement to find out more details on resurfacing projects.

VDOT Commissioner Charlie Kilpatrick added, “You can easily see what is going on where you live or work by zooming in on a county or city, click on the projects for more detail or view the latest pavement conditions and repaving projects.  This tool combines layers of data in one application that the public can use to learn more about transportation projects in their localities.”

Virginiaroads.org has other maps, some of which are interactive, including:

·        511 real-time traffic information
·        Park and ride lots
·        Snow plowing status
·        Virginia toll facilities
·        Major road construction
·        Highway safety corridors
·        Truck routes
·        Scenic roads
·        Bicycling maps
·        Capital trail
·        State map
·        City maps

Future updates to the portal will include bridge locations and conditions, and accident and cash information.

VDOT maintains and operates nearly 58,000 miles of roads and bridges across Virginia, the third largest state maintained highway system in the country, just behind North Carolina and Texas.

~New air route will bring $14 million in annual visitor spending to the capital region~
DULLES, VA – Today, Governor Terry McAuliffe welcomed Air China’s nonstop inaugural flight at Washington Dulles Airport. Governor McAuliffe was joined by Vincent C. Gray, Mayor of Washington, D.C.; John E. Potter, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA); Madame Yinxiang Wang, Vice Chairman of Air China and Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Maurice A. Jones.
In an historic and unprecedented partnership, Governor McAuliffe worked with Mayor Gray, MWAA, and Air China to attract this new service. This collaboration demonstrates the value of partners working together for the benefit of the broader capital region, and will generate a significant economic impact.
“Today, we celebrate a 6,914 mile bridge which will serve as a critically important connector between our two nations,” said McAuliffe. “This nonstop flight will unite businesses, families, friends and universities, and will provide a seamless method for Chinese travelers to visit Virginia and Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  The opportunity here is significant, and has created a partnership that will allow us to welcome many more visitors from Beijing and beyond.”
China is one of Virginia’s top emerging tourism markets. Last year, Virginia welcomed more than 22,000 visitors from China, a 69% increase over the previous year. The new air route is estimated to bring in an additional 16,000 tourists and business travelers to the capital region annually, which will result in 24,000 additional hotel room nights and $14 million in local spending annually. Tourism marketing support will be provided by Virginia Tourism Corporation, Capital Region USA (CRUSA), and Destination DC.
There will be four nonstop flights per week between Beijing and Dulles, contributing to greater opportunities in the Commonwealth for business and economic development. China is currently one of the largest customers of the state’s agriculture and forestry products, and is a top 15 global investor in Virginia’s economy. The new air route will also create more educational opportunities for Chinese and American students alike.
“It is our hope that this new connection will create boundless opportunities for our young people to innovate, collaborate and use their imaginations to create an inspired vision for the future,” said Secretary Jones. “We look forward to welcoming more travelers from China – businessmen and women, families, friends, students, and tourists – for many years to come.”

Air China was founded in 1988 and serves 185 destinations with hubs in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu.  In 2012, Air China served 72 million passengers.
