Washington Hemp Passes Senate Hurdle

Washington State has voted to nullify the Federal ban on hemp, by passing bill HB 1888 in the state senate unanimously. With marijuana already legalized for recreational use, this step goes further for legalizing and licensing industrial hemp use in the state. We discuss the implications of the bill in this Buzzsaw news clip.

Colorado, Washington, California, New York all have laws on the books saying that recreational pot is cool with them and not a violation of law.  How long before you think it hits here in Virginia?  Maybe then we will see the only drug busts being made are coming from the mom and pop stores selling the synthetic versions.  Oh wait, that is all we are seeing isn't it?  Oh look, South Carolina is now legalizing dope.  See bottom storylines.  Oh wait, now there is also West Virginia and Indiana.  Oh wait, add Tennessee too.  No reason to get upset about gay marriages, just smoke a joint and get over it?

Cop Does WHAT With A Child And Keeps Job? [Disturbing Story]

"Prosecutors declined to charge an Ohio State Patrol trooper with a history of domestic violence who admitted to a sexual encounter with a boy.

State trooper Ricky Vitte Jr. told his wife that he had watched a pornographic video and masturbated with the boy five years ago, according to a report issued by the Sandusky County sheriff's office.

Investigators said Vitte told his wife he was attempting to teach the boy about sex, The Sandusky Register reported."* Ana Kasparian, John Iadarola (TYT University) and Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show) break it down.

(Our Notes:)  Not once but multiple times.  This guy has not been forced out of his job by the local community yet?  The people of that area are standing for such disgusting nonsense?  Maybe this guy should divorce his wife and marry the boy, move to Colorado and order out a pizza and a joint and live in peace?  How is it this guy still has a job?  Maybe he should become that state's next governor.  Instead of prosecuting criminals we should be promoting them?  This is just insane.  At what point do we say enough is enough?

Recreational Pot Causes Major Lines In Colorado

Day 46 - West Midlands Police - Cannabis Drugs...

"Iraq war veteran Sean Azzariti described his purchase of recreational marijuana -- legally -- as a historic moment Wednesday.

"It's huge," he said at a marijuana store along a light industrial corridor outside downtown Denver. "It hasn't even sunk in how big this is yet."

Indeed, before the 3D Cannabis Center opened at 8 a.m. MT, more than 100 people were waiting in snowfall and cold under gray skies to be the next buyers of recreational pot under a landmark law voters approved in 2012. The dispensary was one of a handful that opened to lines of waiting people on New Year's Day, with scores more expected statewide in coming months."* Ana Kasparian, Cara Santa Maria (Take Part Live), Jimmy Dore (TYTComedy) and John Iadarola (TYT University) break it down on The Young Turks.
Our Notes:  The taxes are only 25%?  Is the state insane?  They should have at least 50% taxes on this.  The people are going to pay it.  Washington is next with legal dope.  It's only a matter of time before it's throughout the country.  Keep it highly regulated and highly taxed as well as all the same policies for getting and maintaining a job in place and there should be little to no issues.   Smoke all you want, but you can never get certain types of jobs.  Simple.  This will also put the spice shops out of the synthetic business but ripe for the real deal.

Here is a real business opportunity.  Payday loan shops on one side, pizza and sub shops on the other side of the new head shop.  Mom and Pop would be proud.  But why stop there when you can go all out and combine these shops into an all in one market place?  One stop shopping.  Get an advance on your pay so you can buy some weed and pizza.  While your loan is being processed, so can your weed order and pizza or sub order.

FUTURE SHOCK:  Okay, the Mary Jane brownies are a given.  We are going to end up with a new vocabulary with all of this.  Weedza delivery.  That's your weed and pizza delivery.  High Times beer.  That's beer made with weed.  Pot Dressing.  That's salad dressing made with pot.  Mary Jane Milk.  That's the good milk to create strong bones while you relax.  Going green takes on an all new meaning.  Politicians have to come up with a new acronym.  Your a dope is now a compliment.  Pot holes are now donut holes with weed and not some strange road obstruction.  Potato chips are now in competition with Pot Chips.  Growing weeds in the backyard can be considered a dangerous concept, but a great way to get them pulled out if your neighbors are high enough to think it's the smokeable kind.

Brownie sales take on an all new meaning.  School fundraisers now in danger.  Cheech and Chong movies make a comeback as does the band, Pink Floyd.  Green is the new Green.  Ideas and future business concepts are created but no one can remember them the next day.  Stock market crashes are now funny.

In all likeliness, growing Mary Jane would become this nation's number one crop as well as export.  Is this the industry coming in to replace all the other industry that has left?  What will this do to the concept of contracts?  Sorry but my buying that car yesterday is void because I was high?  Sorry, I do not have to repay that loan as I was high when I signed the contract?  Will you have to take a drug test to sign a contract?  We have a new set of issues we have not yet begun to explore over this.

Virginia Only State to Rank in Top Five in Four of Study’s Six Categories
Forbes.com: “The U.S. economy continues to sputter along with an outlook that is cloudy….. But pockets of the U.S. are primed for growth thanks to pro-business regulatory environments, educated workforces and reasonable business costs. Leading the way is Virginia….”

RICHMOND – Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Forbes.com has named Virginia America’s “Best State for Business.” The Commonwealth reclaims the title after being awarded the No. 2 ranking from 2010-2012.  Virginia finished in the top five in four of the study’s six categories, the only state with such a strong across-the-board showing.

Speaking about today’s announcement, Governor McDonnell said, “Virginia is the best state in America for business. Our desirable business climate continues to be recognized by prestigious, independent third parties like Forbes.com, and we are thrilled to regain the No. 1 spot as “Best State for Business.” This award is a great testament to the Commonwealth’s transportation infrastructure, education system, skilled workforce, regulatory environment and excellent quality of life, all of which lead to strong economic growth.  Since taking office we have worked across party lines to bring people together to put in place policies that spur private-sector job creation. We have invested wisely in the core functions of government most essential to Virginia’s future, from our world class colleges and universities to our K-12 system; from our economic development programs to our transportation infrastructure. Today, unemployment is down and more Virginians are working. This announcement is a further demonstration that Virginia is leading the nation forward in this economic recovery. We are demonstrating how we can work together in government to provide the infrastructure and resources the private-sector needs to grow and create the great paying jobs Virginians deserve.”

North Dakota was ranked second by Forbes.com, followed by Utah, North Carolina, and Colorado. Nebraska, Texas, Minnesota, Washington and Georgia rounded out the top 10 list.

The Forbes.com ranking considers states’ business costs (cost of labor, energy, and taxes), labor supply (educational attainment, net migration, and projected population growth), regulatory environment (regulatory and tort environment, incentives, and bond ratings), economic climate (job, income, and gross state product growth, as well as unemployment and corporate headquarter relocations), growth prospects (projected job, income, and gross state product growth, as well as announced business openings and closings), and quality of life (index of schools, health, crime, cost of living, and poverty rates).

Virginia placed first in regulatory environment; second in labor supply; fourth in quality of life; fifth in economic climate; 17th in growth prospects; and 22nd in business costs.

According to Forbes.com, “A diverse economy, strong workforce and pro-business regulatory climate propels the Old Dominion state to the No. 1 ranking. Virginia ranks first among the states in the regulatory category because of its business-friendly government policies and strong incentive offerings. The tort system is one of the best in the country for businesses, according to the Mercatus Center’s Freedom in the 50 States.”
