Bruce Springsteen, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.  Live, 2007 concert footage.  Vintage Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performance.  This guy and the band can still put on an incredible show after all his years up on the stage.  Very few are able to pull this off.  The Boss is one of them that still can.

Wham, With Their Christmas Music Hit, Last Christmas, MTV Version

The MTV version of Wham's hit song, Last Christmas.  One of the all time great original Christmas songs of the 1980's.  Kicking it back a few decades.  Were times better then?  No, just different.  Inflation was pretty high, the press complained about the politicians, jobs at the first part of the decade were scarce, and unemployment was high.  Though there wasn't a draft, everyone that turned 18 had to sign up for the potential of being drafted.  TV was very different.  There were no reality TV shows.  Video games were just starting to come out for the home market, otherwise everyone went to the video arcade to play the latest releases.

Home computers were just starting to come out.  A gig of anything was unheard of and considered massive information.  There were no Windows OS's.    You coded your own work.  Internet was unknown to the masses.  High tech meant you had an awesome stereo and maybe a VCR.  Cable TV was not the dominant force it is today.  Only rich people had car phones.  What the heck was a fax machine anyway?  It was simply a different time.  Everything changes.  Some for the better, some not so much the better.

Band Aid - Let Them Know It's Christmas Time, Video

From 1984.  Serious flash back.  It's a great song so we went out and looked up the video.  Found it on numerous sites but pulled it in from YouTube.  Other sites had long ads attached to the video and it was the same video, so YouTube won the porting game.  The song was created back in 1984 to raise money to feed the hungry.  One has to wonder if sales of the song still continue and if so, where that money is going.  Are sales still supporting that cause or is the song now being milked for profits only?  We went out to find more information on this.  It turns out that the folks behind the song caved to pressure from various avenues insinuating that the lyrics of the song were highly misleading and that a remake of the song in 2004 was probably the last version.

Many in the pop music culture thought the song was pretty bad considering the talent that went into the entire production.  We don't care, we like the song and here it is.  The lyrics do have issues, but we are not discounting what they tried to do for those in need.

Old Nora, Aislinn - Free Celtic Mp3 Song of the day

Old Nora by Aislinn is a very light and whimsical celtic song that is great to play for intimate moments or just to relax by.  Instrumental tune.  This band is from St Sauveur, France.

Now according to the YouTube post, the band in this video is Aislinn.  Now we have no idea if this is the same band featured above, but the two here still go well together.  If you like the song above, downloads are free.
