CASES of Conscience Concerning Evil Spirits Personating MEN

So Odious and Abominable is the Name of a Witch, to the Civilized, much more the Religious part of Mankind, that it is apt to grow up into a Scandal for any, so much as to enter some sober cautions against the over hasty suspecting, or too precipitant Judging of Persons on this account. But certainly, the more execrable the Crime is, the more critical care is to be used in the exposing of the Names, Liberties, and Lives of Men (especially of a Godly Conversation) to the imputation of it. The awful hand of God now upon us, in letting loose of evil Angels among us to perpetrate such horrid Mischiefs, and suffering of Hell's Instruments to do such fearful things as have been scarce heard of; hath put serious persons into deep Musings, and upon curious Enquiries what is to be done for the detecting and defeating of this tremendous design of the grand Adversary: And, tho' all that fear God are agreed,That no evil is to be done, that good may come of it; yet hath the Devil obtained not a little of his design, in the divisions of Reuben, about the application of this Rule.
That there are Devils and Witches, the Scripture asserts,[Pg 222] and experience confirms, That they are common enemies of Mankind, and set upon mischief, is not to be doubted: That the Devil can (by Divine Permission) and often doth vex men in Body and Estate, without the Instrumentality of Witches, is undeniable: That he often hath, and delights to have the concurrence of Witches, and their consent in harming men, is consonant to his native Malice to Man, and too lamentably exemplified: That Witches, when detected and convinced, ought to be exterminated and cut off, we have God's warrant forExod. 22.18. Only the same God who hath said, thou shalt not suffer a Witch to live; hath also said, at the Mouth of two Witnesses, or three Witnesses shall he that is worthy of Death, be put to Death: But at the Mouth of one Witness, he shall not be put to Death, Deut. 17.6. Much debate is made about what is sufficient Conviction, and some have (in their Zeal) supposed that a less clear evidence ought to pass in this than in other Cases, supposing that else it will be hard (if possible) to bring such to condign Punishment, by reason of the close conveyances that there are between the Devil and Witches; but this is a very dangerous and unjustifiable tenet. Men serve God in doing their Duty, he never intended that all persons guilty of Capital Crimes should be discovered and punished by men in this Life, though they be never so curious in searching after Iniquity. It is therefore exceeding necessary that in such a day as this, men be informed what is Evidence and what is not. It concerns men in point of Charity; for tho' the most shining Professor may be secretly a most abominable Sinner, yet till he be detected, our Charity is bound to Judge[Pg 223] according to what appears: and notwithstanding that a clear evidence must determine a case; yet presumptions must be weighed against presumptions, and Charity is not to be forgone as long as it has the most preponderating on its side. And it is of no less necessity in point of Justice; there are not only Testimonies required by God, which are to be credited according to the Rules given in his Word referring to witnesses: But there is also an Evidence supposed to be in the Testimony, which is throughly to be weighed, and if it do not infallibly prove the Crime against the person accused, it ought not to determine him guilty of it; for so a righteous Man may be Condemned unjustly. In the case of Witchcrafts we know that the Devil is the immediate Agent in the Mischief done, the consent or compact of the Witch is the thing to be Demonstrated.
Among many Arguments to evince this, that which is most under present debate, is that which refers to something vulgarly calledSpectre Evidence, and a certain sort of Ordeal or trial by the sight and touch. The principal Plea to justifie the convictive Evidence in these, is fetcht from the Consideration of the Wisdom and Righteousness of God in Governing the World, which they suppose would fail, if such things were permitted to befal an innocent person; but it is certain, that too resolute conclusions drawn from hence, are bold usurpations upon spotless Sovereignty: and tho' some things if suffered to be common, would subvert this Government, and disband, yea ruine Humane Society; yet God doth sometimes suffer such things to evene, that we may thereby know how much we are beholden to him, for that restraint which he lays upon[Pg 224] the Infernal Spirits, who would else reduce a World into a Chaos. That the Resolutions of such Cases as these is proper for the Servants of Christ in the Ministry cannot be denied; the seasonableness of doing it now, will be justified by the Consideration of the necessity there is at this time of a right Information of men's Judgments about these things, and the danger of their being misinformed.
The Reverend, Learned, and Judicious Author of the ensuing Cases, is too well known to need our Commendation: All that we are concerned in, is to assert our hearty Consent to, and Concurrence with the substance of what is contained in the following Discourse:And, with our hearty Request to God, that he would discover the depths of this Hellish Design; direct in the whole management of this Affair; prevent the taking any wrong steps in this dark way; and that he would in particular Bless these faithful Endeavours of his Servant to that end, we Commend it and you to his Divine Benediction.

Author: Science and faith aren't mutually exclusive

Science & Faith (song)
Science & Faith (song) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

New book 'The Adam Quest' features scientists - who are also Christians - talking about evolution, creation and more.

Our Notes:
It should not matter what one's faith is in regards to the study of science as long as that faith is not trying to direct the science.  Although there are valid arguments for that as well.  Why lock out brilliant minds from discovering unless you fear what they may discover.

Mystery of The Ages Contained In The Secret Doctrines of All Religions from Chuck Thompson

Are you stumped by the New Age information?  Are you wondering what the secret teachings are of the secret societies?  Did you have questions about who or what is behind the New World Order?  Well look no further.  We are giving away those secrets right here in the above book.  No reason to buy those expensive New Age guru books, they all got their information from right above and just rework the information.

No reason to join those expensive secret societies and pay those high monthly dues and go through all of those ridiculous ceremonies, those secrets are revealed above as well.  Plus, you do not have to wait for years for the really good secrets to be revealed to you.  You get them here as fast as you can read them.

Want to know what is behind all the news stories that keep you scratching your head over each night?  Here is the inside information you are not supposed to know.   We have a bunch of these books on our Slideshare site now and more coming.  You know what?  They all pretty much say the same thing.  There is nothing new under the sun.  This goes way back to the beginning of times folks.  The masons, Freemasonry, Rosicrucians, Knights Templar, Da Vinci Code, New Age,  Wicca, Harry Potter, Walt Disney, it's all the same.   Luciferianism packaged in different ways and sold to you for your enjoyment.

Evolutionism, Climate Change, Politics, Banking, Entertainment, all under the same roof.  Now coming to a church near you.  Benny Hinn and all his TV friends all preaching the same gospel but in slightly different ways from what we have traced.  Pick your poison or flavor, it makes almost no difference.  It's not Christ based even when they tell you it is.  You might just want to ask them which christ they are actually talking about.  What.  You didn't realize that?

Jordan Maxwell is a Luciferian who has studied the mystery teachings.  Brought up in the Catholic Church, he is well educated in Christianity, so he knew where to look to try and discredit it all.

It's all the age old game of Lucifer vs Jesus Christ.  The only question that remains, what side do you really want to be on?

Band Aid - Let Them Know It's Christmas Time, Video

Español: Logo Vectorial de YouTube

From 1984.  Serious flash back.  It's a great song so we went out and looked up the video.  Found it on numerous sites but pulled it in from YouTube.  Other sites had long ads attached to the video and it was the same video, so YouTube won the porting game.  The song was created back in 1984 to raise money to feed the hungry.  One has to wonder if sales of the song still continue and if so, where that money is going.  Are sales still supporting that cause or is the song now being milked for profits only?  We went out to find more information on this.  It turns out that the folks behind the song caved to pressure from various avenues insinuating that the lyrics of the song were highly misleading and that a remake of the song in 2004 was probably the last version.

Many in the pop music culture thought the song was pretty bad considering the talent that went into the entire production.  We don't care, we like the song and here it is.  The lyrics do have issues, but we are not discounting what they tried to do for those in need.

Federalist Papers No 19, The Insufficiency of the Present Confederation to Preserve the Union, Continued 5

For the Independent Journal. Saturday, December 8, 1787

MADISON, with HAMILTON

THE examples of ancient confederacies, cited in my last paper, have not exhausted the source of experimental instruction on this subject. There are existing institutions, founded on a similar principle, which merit particular consideration. The first which presents itself is the Germanic body.

In the early ages of Christianity, Germany was occupied by seven distinct nations, who had no common chief. The Franks, one of the number, having conquered the Gauls, established the kingdom which has taken its name from them. In the ninth century Charlemagne, its warlike monarch, carried his victorious arms in every direction; and Germany became a part of his vast dominions. On the dismemberment, which took place under his sons, this part was erected into a separate and independent empire. Charlemagne and his immediate descendants possessed the reality, as well as the ensigns and dignity of imperial power. But the principal vassals, whose fiefs had become hereditary, and who composed the national diets which Charlemagne had not abolished, gradually threw off the yoke and advanced to sovereign jurisdiction and independence. The force of imperial sovereignty was insufficient to restrain such powerful dependants; or to preserve the unity and tranquillity of the empire. The most furious private wars, accompanied with every species of calamity, were carried on between the different princes and states. The imperial authority, unable to maintain the public order, declined by degrees till it was almost extinct in the anarchy, which agitated the long interval between the death of the last emperor of the Suabian, and the accession of the first emperor of the Austrian lines. In the eleventh century the emperors enjoyed full sovereignty: In the fifteenth they had little more than the symbols and decorations of power.

Secret Societies Incompatible With Christianity A History

CHAPTER I.

The Religion of Secret Societies is Anti-christian.
Secret Societies are classified thus: (1) religious, (2)
social or insurance, (3) economic or labor organizations.
While the various secret orders have different names, rites,
forms, and obligations, they have a principle that is common.
The Grange, a more recent order, was cunningly designed
to catch the farmer. Their general secretary, Mr.
Kelly, says: "Many of our originators were Masons and
Odd-fellows," A. B. Crosh, author of " Odd-fellow's Manual,"
prepared the Granger's Ritual.

There is a kindred spirit running through all secret orders. To condemn one is to condemn all. The different secret orders have each an authorized officer to lead their religious services, whom they
call Chaplain, Prelate or Priest.

They also have an altar and
a ritual Their various services, installations, dedications,
and burials, would readily impress an observer that they
are a religious people, while some members of secret orders
claim their system to be only a hand-maid to religion,
a refined system of morality, or a mutual aid society. We
have before us a number of their standard authors, claiming
their system to be a religious one. We quote as follows:
"All the ceremonies of our order are prefaced and terminated
with prayer, because Masonry is a religious institution."
("Mackey's Lexicon on Freemasonry," page 369.) "The
meeting of a Masonic Lodge is strictly a religious ceremony.
So broad is the religion of Masonry, and so carefully are all
sectarian tenets excluded from the system, that the Christian
the Jew, and the Mohammedan, in all their numberless
sects and divisions, may and do harmoniously combine in its
moral and intellectual work, with the Buddhist, Parsee, the
Confucian, and the worshiper of the Deity under every
form." ("Freemason's Monitor," by Thomas Smith Webb,
pages 286 and 287.)

These authors emphatically declare their system to be
a religion,—the religion of Masonry. It is a fact that not
only the tenets of Christian religion are excluded, but even
the name of Christ is studiously excluded from their prayers.
On page 166, " Odd-fellow's Pocket Companion," by
Donaldson, we read, u using none other than the prescribedform
of prayer" Think of professed ministers, elders, bishops,
prominent divines, leaders of the people, offering up prayers,
leaving Christ,—their only advocate,—not once named.
To us it looks like sacrilege.

On page 226, " Freemason'sMonitor," by Z. A. Davis, the author, in giving the outlinesof the Royal Arch Degree, quotes the sacred words of the
apostle Paul, in 2 Thess. 3; 6-17. The name " Lord Jesus Christ," occurring in verses 6 and 12 is omitted, without
any marks of omission. The same omission in " Freemason's
Guide," by Cornelius Moore, page 137; also in "Webb's
Monitor," page 122. Such omissions are of frequent occurrence
by authors on secrecy.

Mackey, in his Lexicon, page 16, defines " Acacian ' as
" signifying a Mason, who, by living in strict obedience to
the obligations and precepts of the fraternity, is free from
sin." The Gospel teaches that.
" the blood of Jesus Christ,
his Son, cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John. 1: 17. "Without
shedding of blood there is no remission." Heb. 9: 22.
But Masonry, Odd-fellowship, and a number of other orders
offer a religion,—a system that saves from sin without a
Christ, hence no blood. Jesus says, " No man cometh to
7 V ' the Father but by me." Webb and Mackey, as quoted, teach the contrary.

Secret Societies Incompatible With Christianity from Chuck Thompson

This is an historic text exploring issues between Christianity and Freemasonry as well as other secret societies.  Secret Societies are often classed as well organized and well disciplined anarchists.  Anti government and anti religion.  We see this a great deal including in our own local government where we have a presence of Freemasonry well represented on the local Board of Supervisors and we see all of the ordinances that are in violation of state codes and Dillon rules as well as how often they break their own ordinances and state codes with no regard.  They use their code of silence not to speak about these violations or address them with the public when these violations are brought to their attention.

They use their influence through Freemasonry to stay out of trouble as Freemasons never go against each other or there are very severe consequences.  The purpose of the present separation between Church and State as it presently stands is thanks in part to Freemasonry.  Freemasons can be found in just about every church order in the US with the exception of Catholics, who have their own secret society order, the Knights of Columbus.  John Adams was watching closely to the secret society threat to the US when he was involved in the political system.  That is coming soon.

Popular Rubbish - Harper's Magazine Why Vote?

Talk about a tough article to read.  Has this peron ever picked up a history book?  Or are we just seeing more history being revised?  As we read through the first article, Why Vote?,  we saw so many errors in the first two pages we had to walk away from reading the rest.  We have to explain what we mean here.  When you are seriously studying and researching history, history is not free from religion.  In fact, it is the basis and basics of history for the past 10 thousand years.

When you try to remove the religious aspects of history, you end up with a very demonized view of events that can not logically be explained unless you are trying to show a demonized view of history and trying to demonize the past.  That is what we saw as the flaws in the above piece.  It is not our objective to shove any form of religious beliefs down anyone's throats.  Man or Woman for that matter have an individual relationship with one's God or higher power.  Your religious views or lack thereof are between you and your higher power.

We are just pointing out what we see as common flaws that have penetrated the world over the past 100 plus years and gets more insidious with each new decade.  It has demonized the past in ways that have no logic left.  Instead the only conclusion one can have is that the world is evil and always has been so therefore must always be.  A study of the issues of slavery is a prime example.  We will be showing over the coming months that slavery was a religious moral.  It still is a religious moral in many parts of the world.  Failure to understand this is where so many people are lost as to what is really going on.

The debates over the religious moral of slavery are centuries old.  Was the Civil War in the US over slavery?  You may be surprised that it was more of an issue of religious interpretations of Christianity on the morality of slavery than of slavery itself.  We have been compiling those documents for some time now and have already posted on this site one of the first digital publications of this issue.

The issue is highly controversial and we are aware of that.  Again, it is not our intention to argue for or against the issues, just to show the true history of the events of the past, because they are no longer being discussed.  This is what happens when you try to remove religion from the world.  The world no longer makes any sense.  Stay tuned, this will get very interesting.
