Heads up: ID required at voting booths in November


Voters casting ballots in Virginia are now required to show identification at the polls, according to information provided by Gloucester General Registrar Bobbi Morgan.
Previously, if you didn't have identification you were required to sign an "Affirmation of Identity" and voted normally.
Under the new law, voters without identification have to vote a provisional ballot and provide the Voter Registrar's office with a copy of some sort of identification by noon of the Friday after the election. Otherwise, the vote won't count.
Here's a list of acceptable identifications, provided by the Virginia Board of Elections:

--Valid Virginia driver's license;
