Utilities Yard In Bad Shape?

We keep hearing about how awful the conditions are at the utilities yard are and we seem to keep seeing evidence of it everywhere.  The guy above is seen at Hardee's at breakfast time because there just isn't any decent place at work to eat or even sit for the most part at the utilities yard.  

  The county can give away your tax dollars to private businesses but can not take care of its own infrastructure?  Or it's employees?  That is just embarrassing.

And these are the people we were able to get pictures of.  If we do not get the cameras out in time, then they get lucky.  We caught plenty of others but did not have the camera ready.  This is only a sampling.  For over a year we have been covering this and the pattern right now is very clear.  The school board has no concern about your tax money.  It's part of the reason why the keep wanting more of it.  They waste it so fast it's not even funny.  But the folks at the school board keep telling us that it's for the children.  Anyone see where these people above are helping the children?

Gloucester, VA Sheriff's Deputies Prepare For Tough Day At Hardee's

A number of Gloucester, Virginia Sheriff's Deputies decided to start their day off by fueling up with breakfast at Hardee's restaurant this morning, December 17th, 2013 around 7:00 AM.  We trolled into the parking lot and sniped this picture and then trolled back out.  Sorry it's not very clear, the stupid flash went off on us, so what you are seeing is the glare.  This time of year the deputies need to make sure they are ready for a tough day as this is the time of year that shoplifting really picks up as people who can not earn a living wage figure out some way to pick up the slack for the lack of money they have coming in.

  That means lot's of extra calls to the Sheriff's office and lot's of extra responses by the deputies to charge these people because they didn't have the money to pay for what they tried to leave the store with.  (Bet if more people earned a living wage, there would be less shoplifting and less jail overcrowding).  We trolled over to the sidelines to see if maybe the deputies might be trying to prevent government employees from using government vehicles for personal use.  Turns out that this was not the case as VDOT came in and got breakfast and the deputies did nothing.  So it was a meeting to plan the day for shop with a cop and also prepare for those extra shoplifting calls.

  At least we know they are out and protecting our parking lots.  The Hamburgler dares not come into this lot boy.  At least not by Hardee's.  These folks have a tough job and it's this time of year that we all should make sure we thank them for all the hard work they do for us and their extra level of protection they bring to us.

Gloucester, VA Government Employee's Violation Mondays Is Back Again.

7:40 AM Monday, September 23rd, 2013, Parks and Recreation employee at McDonald's at the courthouse area.  McDonald's is the new Hardee's?  Looks that way.

Proof that he was going into McDonald's?  Yep, that's him heading in now.

Here comes our boy now.  He's smiling as he just got his happy meal.  Truck number 67.

7:50 AM.  Public Schools van pulls up and is ordering at the drive through.  2 people in this van.

Van number 273.  License plate number 169-938L.  Once again, same McDonald's up in the courthouse area on route 17.

8:40 AM, Public Schools.  One male parks and goes inside to order takeout.

This picture shows that the truck is in fact parked at McDonald's.  I saw three separate vehicles here today.  Last week I saw that this is the new Hardee's stop, so this is where I focused my own time.

So if you need to find a Gloucester County Government employee, they are no longer hanging out at Hardee's they are now after those happy meals.  To reach them when they are not at their designated site just call McDonald's at the following phone number, (804)-684-4810.  Guess when we recommended that other fast food restaurants complain about all the Gloucester County employees going to Hardee's, staying away from the other fast food places, McDonald's was the one who actually complained.

  What about Burger King?  Sonic's? or Chick-Fil-A?  Why are the Gloucester employees breaking the laws just to hit McDonald's only now?  Is it that maybe these employees are being sent here to pick up breakfast for Branda Garton, Ted Wilmot or The Kiser?  Now these folks all know that this activity is illegal.  Why do they continue to break the laws each and every week costing all the tax payers untold small fortunes?  Criminals with no regard for the law.

And today of all days when county officials are having the swamp school ground breaking ceremony for the highly controversial swamp property?  Are these employees trying to make fools out of the Gloucester officials?  That really does not take much at this point does it?  Happy Meals now on wheels.  Why do officials still have jobs?  Has it become that in order to move up in the world, you have to show very high levels of incompetence?  If that is the case, the local jails are filled with people more than qualified to take over these jobs and probably do much better at them.

Steve Baranek To Become New Chief Animal Control In Gloucester, VA

Steve Baranek is slated to take over the chief animal control position in Gloucester, Virginia replacing Carl,(Chuck), Shipley who is retiring on September 1st, 2013.  This is the guy who is surrounded by a lot of controversy and is well despised by many local Gloucester County animal owners for various reasons.

Gloucester officials already have planned to put out a press release with these announcements soon, with the exceptions of Steve being so well despised.  Expect a positive spin from the county government on this.



Here is part of the reason why this guy is not at all liked by so many people.  This recording came off of evidence supplied by Steve Baranek and used in a Gloucester County Court of law.  It's obviously fake and a prank in our opinion, but still submitted in a court, however, not used in the court case.  (Wonder why).



Here is more audio used by Steve Baranek in a court case.  There are so many things wrong with this recording it's not even funny.  In the beginning of this audio, did anyone hear an engine when this guy was pretending to be driving?  We ran tests and even a very quite Toyota engine makes noise. (He was in a Ford truck).  There is no road noise in this audio.  That is one of many serious issues with the above recording.

Gloucester County officials are aware of this guy's questionable background.  It's only a matter of time before this guy gets busted for something stupid.  But Gloucester County officials see nothing wrong with promoting him anyway.  But these are the same people that bring you Dillon Rule violations and out of control employees who keep getting caught at Hardee's using government vehicles for personal use despite county policies that state they are not allowed to do such.  (A management issue if ever there was one).

More Issues With New Middle School Location - Gloucester, VA

The site for the planned new middle school, across the street from the one the county tore down, is on top of swamp land?  From what anyone can see, all the land all around this location is marsh or swampish.  The county has brought in incredible piles of dirt to cover over all the swampish areas and as it presently stands, it looks okay.  However, according to one engineer we spoke with, no new structure will be sound there if piles are not put in to support the new structures.

  Are county officials looking to waste taxpayer money on an incredibly bad plan?  We have already questioned the legality of how they are going about getting the new bond, we also had to question the present location based on sea level risings.  Now we see that the new two story middle school is to on top of wetlands?  The above pictures were sent to us from the same folks who sent us pictures of the Gloucester Government employees parading at Hardee's to show how they like to waste your hard earned tax dollars.

  If anyone wants to question the wetlands area at this location, by all means drive by there and walk around the area and judge it for yourself.  Or take the word of officials who can't even control their own employees.  If you can't find a Gloucester Government employee to talk to about this, try Hardee's restaurant.  We posted the phone number on the last post.  Or just drive right up the street and you will likely find them there.

Gloucester Officials Out Of Control? Pictures Continue - Parade?

Gloucester County Utilities Vehicle number 285 at Hardee's this morning at 7:55 AM, Monday, August 5th, 2013.  Two employees got out of this vehicle and went into the restaurant.  On the clock?  Unknown.  Personal use?  You bet.  We heard back from one person at the Gloucester Mathews Gazette Journal who informed us of the following, "stopping by hardees is a de minimus errand".  

  Well we did in fact check into that response.  Here is what we found.

Waste, Fraud and Abuse - Virginia Codes from Chuck Thompson

You can not justify this use.  State code is very clear.  " D. The use of such vehicle shall be limited to official state business."  Stopping at Hardee's does not constitute state use.  It is personal use.  You can not blame the employees either, it's the officials in charge that are not in charge and the employees learn this from somewhere.  It's not the employees that need to be held accountable, it's the officials that are clearly not in charge and that have set the examples.

  And again, we have to seriously question why anyone would allow these people to gain access to 17 million dollars for a middle school that is not needed when there is one down the street we are told is not needed that could be used.  Make all the copies of these pictures you want.  The folks who sent them to us told us they do not care who uses them at all and release all claims to licensing and or royalties.  They just want all this abuse to stop and their taxes lowered.  Not raised because of careless officials and lack of care for taxpayer dollars.  It's a parade of abuse?
