Top 10 Businesses Killed By The Internet

Internet
Internet (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

And We Are Helping The Continued Destruction Of What Remains.  Why? Simple, we can do more faster and cheaper and when required, with much more depth.  Newspapers can't include the depth, the TV news can not include the depth, books are not capable of delivering multimedia.  Only on the Internet can you include audio, video and entire articles plus include full length books in a small area of a page.  Stories can be delivered instantly.  The Internet goes head to head with live TV and goes far beyond radio.

We deliver articles, entire books, audio, video and radio right here and we also have coupons and software that we give away on other pages linked from this main site.  No other medium can deliver this.

More businesses are now started on the Internet and less in the Brick and Mortar fashion.  Brick and Mortar will never die, but certain businesses have gone under with more to go under because of technology.  It makes life rather interesting.

Gerald Celente - Trends In The News - "The New Year, 2014

The Great American Wake up call.  Or what they do not want you to know.  Gerald Celente is one who likes to take off the gloves and call the politicians and their henchmen out, giving backbone to American Idealism and talking about good old fashioned American history.  In this episode, Gerald shows how the main stream media is trying to convince us that we should willingly surrender our freedoms for some false sense of security.  No thanks, can we just surrender our main stream media instead?

News and trends everyone should be on top of which is why we are bringing this to you.

Utah Couple Sues Online Retailer Behind $3,500 Negative Review Post

This is a very frightening look at what is a growing trend in America today.  The site in question?  KlearGear.com.  http://www.kleargear.com/help.html  this is a link to the page that is brought up in this news article.

We could not find where KlearGear has any claim in their policy saying that customers can not give bad reviews of the site anywhere else online and to even have that as a policy is a breach of the freedom of speech.  Now it's not to say that KlearGear did not at one time have this policy.  We simply do not know nor is there a cached copy of it found anywhere online that we found.  After looking the KlearGear site over, it's not where we would want to do any online shopping for ourselves.  Their product line is interesting novelty geek items.  Nothing that could not be found when searching eBay or Amazon however.  Prices?  A bit high for what you are getting.  Does anyone really need an Iron Man flash drive?

What we saw on the KlearGear.com site help page that gave us a major red flag was the claim that they own the copyrights to the software behind the site, yet on other parts of the site it seems that they are referring to using Linux and GNU technology for the site.  If you know anything about Linux, there is no such thing as copyrights to the GNU codes.

Further, the above news story really does not make sense.  There is a lot of information withheld that we are not being told.  How did KlearGear.com get the judgement for the $3,500.00 in question?  That would have required a lawsuit to have been filed and won.  Did the couple ignore a lawsuit?  We are simply not told.  If there was no lawsuit, then all the couple really had to do was file a legal complaint with the 3 credit reporting agencies who would then initiate an investigation.  If the investigation could not substantiate the claim, the claim is then removed from their credit report.  Was this tried?

The CNN news coverage is sketchy at it's very best.  The bottom line is we do not see anything directly against KlearGear.com that could warrent the above news story and we also can not tell what the real facts are about the case we just looked at.  Again, KlearGear.com is not where we would look to shop, but on the other side of the coin, we also see no reason to avoid the site for anyone who appreaicates the types of offerings the site has.  It's more along the lines that the CNN news story is not a story at all but instead, a mass confusion disinformation piece of media.

This is why we usually refuse to watch TV anymore.  We all to often have all of these questions after viewing most so called news stories and find out that they were not really news stories at all.  They were just misleading disinformation pieces of trash to fill holes in time slots, in our opinions.  If the above is now regarded as investigative journalism, then they can keep it.  It lacked real investigations and information as we just pointed out.  The only real winner here?  KlearGear for all the free publicity.  For even bad publicity is better than no publicity.  It still brings people to your site.

Battle of the Hook, More Photos From 2013 Event Including House Fire

We still have not managed to figure out our final count, but our estimate so far is over 6,000 photos taken and about 6 to 8 videos.  3 Videos are in full 1080P HD and include the burning of the farm house on Sunday's battle reenactment.  It's going to take us months to go through all the content we have and several years to even begin to share it.  What we can tell you is that the planners in our own opinion, really understated what to expect.  This was truly time travel into history and as close as anyone can ever come to living what life was once like during the colonial era.

This was the type of event one always expected Yorktown to produce and has failed to come anywhere near close to producing.  It blew Colonial Williamsburg out of the water for historical interpretations and we take nothing away from Colonial Williamsburg by saying that.  We love CW and would not trade it for anything, but they can not even produce an event of the magnitude that Gloucester just pulled off for the second time and with more flash, flare and graciousness that was put into this event.  This second event proved even better than the first.

We asked the question, will there be a Battle of the Hook event again next year?  The answer is no.  What we learned was that the 2008 event was meant as a one time event.  Questions kept being asked and requests for a second event finally overwhelmed those involved in the first event.  So it was determined to hold one more event.  18 months went into the planning of this event for those not aware of this fact.  Warren Deal, Stephanie Heinatz and all others must be commended on an incredible job.

We were further informed that to even consider another event, would take at least 4 years to put together again as there is no way to get all of these people back again each year as they have commitments to other locations for reenactments.  The question of continuing the tradition was not ruled out when we kept digging.  On that same note, this is considered to be the last event of it's type as well.  So only time will tell if there will ever be another event like this here.  We did put a bug in the ear to consider a Bacon's Rebellion event that did take part on the grounds of Warner Hall.  Again, only time will tell what comes up.  Now for the much awaited photos our headline promised.

Battle of the Hook Revolutionary War Reenactment Media Representatives Encouraged to Attend

More than 1,500 Revolutionary War reenactors, 30 horses and multiple period boats will descend on the Inn at Warner Hall in Gloucester Oct. 19 and 20 for what’s billed as the largest Revolutionary War reenactment in the country this year.

GLOUCESTER, VA – The British are coming back, along with the French and Americans, too.
And the Return to the Hook steering committee would love to see the media follow suit.
On Oct. 19 and 20, the Allies will engage the British Legion and other Crown forces in a reenactment of the 1781 Battle of the Hook at the Inn at Warner Hall in Gloucester, Va.
The historic battle took place in 1781 in Gloucester and choked off the British supply line to the British troops in Yorktown, helping pave the way for American Independence
The reenactment, one of the largest recreations of a Revolutionary War battle, will bring together more than 1,500 infantry, cavalry, artillery and maritime landing reenactors from across the country to the home of President George Washington’s ancestors.
Labeled a national event, the reenactment is sponsored by the Continental Line, British Brigade, and Brigade of the American Revolution, as well as regional and statewide businesses and Gloucester County.
Throughout the Battle of the Hook reenactment weekend, in addition to the battle and military scenes, daylong activities for visitors include a live field archeology dig and demonstration display of actual artifacts from the Battle of the Hook, period music by civilian and military performers, 18th century farm setting with live animals, colonial tavern demonstration, camp life by the British, American and French forces, and period merchants and craftsmen demonstrating their skills and selling their wares.
Media are encouraged to cover this visual and dynamic living history event.
The Inn at Warner Hall is located at 4750 Warner Hall Road in Gloucester, Va.
Journalists are asked to RSVP to Battle of the Hook Steering Committee Member Stephanie Heinatz at sheinatz@cox.net or 757.713.2199.
Preferred media parking is located in the field on the left hand side of Warner Hall Road as you approach the Inn. Please show identification from your media outlet to access the preferred parking. Parking conditions are expected to be muddy due to all the rain. In the event that the parking field is closed due to weather conditions – shuttles will be running from Gloucester High School throughout the day.
Following arrival to Warner Hall, media representatives should check in at the registration tent to receive a media badge, which is good throughout the entire weekend.
Media representatives with their badge will have access a media headquarters, special viewing areas on the battlefield and video and still imagery being shot on the battlefield itself by the event’s official media crews (Eastriver Marketing and Sara Harris Photography).
Videographers and photographers on the battlefield will be limited to the event’s official media crews both for safety and to help keep the event as authentic as possible. Media crews on the battlefield will be in period clothing. Several reenactors will be equipped with video cameras on their bodies (GoPro). That licensed footage is available for your use.

The Battle of the Hook in American History
The events leading up to the Revolutionary War’s Yorktown Campaign and the subsequent victory of the Allies that insured the independence of the United States are well known. Less well known is the Battle of the Hook – the battle that took place across the York River from Yorktown 16 days before the British capitulation. Although rather brief, it included the largest cavalry engagement of the war, with more than 500 horsemen involved.
When British Gen. Charles Cornwallis occupied Yorktown in August 1781, he dispatched a portion of his troops to occupy and fortify Gloucester Town (now Gloucester Point), across the river from Yorktown. These forces would, he hoped, be able to secure the British Army's flank, protect a possible escape route, and forage for food, livestock and supplies in the fertile farmland of Gloucester County.
Then American Gen. Washington and his French allies recognized the importance of this area to the siege at Yorktown and sent a force to join the Virginia militia to block the British in Gloucester.
On October 19, 1781, the last surrender of British forces in America occurred — not at Yorktown, as is widely believed, but an hour later, outside the works at Gloucester, where some 1,100 Englishmen, Scotsmen, Welshmen, Germans and American loyalists, and 300 horses, were surrendered to 100 French and 200 American militiamen. American independence was assured, thanks largely to the victory in Gloucester.
The “Hook” battlefield is now an empty field, hallowed ground with little to note its significance day to day except a small roadside marker and a deteriorating concrete monument.
Its significance, however, will be celebrated with the reenactment at the Inn at Warner Hall in October.

The Real Trayvon Martin Exposed - Suppressed Information Revealed

Author unknown.  Sent to our contact info.  False Photo of Trayvon Martin.
Do you know who this is?

It is Little Trayvon Martin...! At 17 yrs of age.
Don't know how much coverage this story has had in your area, but, if it hasn't, here's a new look at it!
For those of us who thought we were well informed and weren't.....quite the realty check.
That old adage applies here: "there are two sides to every story." We don't always get the truth from the media.  Television news, newspapers, magazines, radio; all continue to show 12 year old Trayvon; NOT 17 year old Trayvon.
They continue to show the 5 year old picture BECAUSE it helps to cement in your mind the cute, little, hoodie-wearing youngster who was stalked by this monster
.
In reality "little Trayvon" at the time of his death stood almost 6'2" tall and weighed 175 muscular pounds. He had numerous run ins with authorities (both at school and local police), had been stopped and almost arrested two days before his death for smacking a bus driver in the face, because the driver refused to let him ride for free. He was released because the driver was told not to press charges by the bus company and to continue on his route.

When "little Trayvon" was suspended at school it was not only because he tried to bring a little marijuana in with him, he was in possession of wedding rings and other jewelry, watches, etc. that he said he "found" along with a large screwdriver while on the way to school that day. The jewelry was turned over to the Police by the school.

I am not trying to say this kid deserved to die. I am saying the media in the USA
twist and distort what you see and hear in order for you to see things their way.

>Not a single paper has printed RECENT photos of this kid, because it would not keep your interest in this case.

Not a single paper will admit that this kid was a marijuana dealer.
>His friends on Facebook all say he had the "best plants". Not a single paper will show you any of his recent photos where he shows off a mouthful of gold teeth and all of his tattoos.

Not a single newspaper will tell the news like it really is....and NOT how they want you to think it is...

President Obama looked at the FIVE year old photo the media chose to show the Nation and said, "If I had a son...he would look like Trayvon.." So from that comment should I assume you did not bother to look for the facts in this shooting?

A fair and impartial news media in the USA ? One that does not follow the liberal agenda? Is NOT looking to further divide this already fractured Nation?

Trayvon at the age of 12.

Will the real Trayvon Martin please stand up?

The above information about Trayvon Martin, just before this picture, has been making the rounds through email.  The top picture is of a rap singer taken back in 2010 when he was 31 years old and was done for a magazine.  This piscture was taken of Trayvon not long before he died.  So it's fair to say that everything in the above email that has been making the rounds is 100% fabricated.  The entire story is a timebomb that no matter what, will not have a good end.
