Gloucester, VA Delinquent Tax Property Auction Sale List

Gloucester, VA Tax Auction, Nov 2014 from Chuck Thompson

Above is a list of properties going up for public auction for delinquent tax payments.  This only goes to show that no matter what you think, you do not own the land you think you own.  It can very quickly be taken from you for many reasons.  If any of these properties are occupied by someone who simply can not afford to pay the taxes, then it is a crime against God to take their home.  Read the bible here.  If you want to get a deal on real estate at the expense of someone else's hardship?  By participating in buying any of these properties, you are saying that you do not believe in ownership of land to yourself and everyone else as well.  You just gain control over it for a cost.

If anyone out there has fairly deep pockets and can afford to help out a family that may need it then we recommend researching these properties and seeing if you can't pay those back taxes for a family or person in desperate need.  Where are the non profit foundations now?  Temporarily house the homeless during the winter but let's create homeless folks instead of helping prevent the crisis to begin with?  Put together a group of private individuals who can pool money to help out anyone of the people in the above list.  It may make you eligible for extra tax deductions.  You would have to check with a good accountant or lawyer who specializes in this area.

The US Constitution as well as the original state Constitution does not allow for personal property taxes.  No one can show where they are.  The 16th Amendment is not legal as it is written as a right of the Government against the people which is not what the Bill of Rights were designed for.  The Bill of Rights is the rights of the PEOPLE.  It's clear we have a criminal government even at the local level.

Gloucester, VA School Board, Animal Control and Buying It Used Connections?

In the above picture we see a vehicle that is being used by a school board employee and it's parked at McDonald's in the Courthouse area.

License plate number so that there are no questions as to who has it.  This was early Tuesday morning, April 28th, 2014.   The employee, a female, parked at McDonald's and went inside.

About 25 minutes after seeing this same vehicle and employee at McDonald's, we see her car as we are driving down to the other end of the county.  We made a U-turn to see if in fact this was the same car.  It was.  This woman was in Buying It Used.  We do not know if she was just stopping to do some personal shopping or if she may have been conducting county business.

Why this question is important.  Buying It Used, when they opened up, looked a lot like a Gloucester County school board outlet store.  We have found and reported with photo evidence that Buying It Used has sold Gloucester County School Board property in the past.  Why is this an issue?  Buying It Used is owned by a county employee who works for Animal Control here in Gloucester.  Some facts and issues that come to mind.  County excess and old goods must be either dis-guarded properly or sold via auction.  When goods are sold via auction, Gloucester County employees and their families are prohibited from purchasing any goods through auctions.  Most of the items found at Buying It Used come from local auctions but are not to say that they are from local government auctions.

With the fact that Buying It Used has sold Gloucester County school board property in the past, it makes us wonder if the woman pictured above may have been doing a pickup for school board items that may have been sold through that store?  It's a question that we do not have an answer for and can only ask about.  Either way, what was she doing there that could possibly be considered school board business for either being at McDonald's or Buying It Used?

And all of this on top of our last report showing all of the other county vehicles in places that are not being used for county purposes.

Buying It Used, Criminal Sales Activity? Gloucester, VA

Section 13-28: Bidding to Purchase County Property No County employee or member of his/her immediate family shall be eligible to bid to purchase any County property at County sponsored auctions. For the purpose of this policy, a member of the immediate family shall be defined as any person who is a natural or legally defined offspring, spouse, or parent of the employee.

One of the owners of the store, Buy It Used, is also a part time employee of Gloucester County in the Animal Control unit of Gloucester County, Virginia.  That is not at all criminal.

If you look very close at this picture to the left, you will note that it was once the property of Gloucester County public schools, particularly, Petsworth Elementary school.  It's written right there on the side.  The projector is for sale at Buy It Used for a mere $30.00.  Their signature sales tage is seen to the left of the power cord.

We did some enhancements to this picture to show the Petsworth name a little clearer than the last picture.  We have reported on this store in the past because so much of their merchandise looks like it came out of the county and the store often looks like a county surplus store selling merchandise that looks like it came out of Gloucester government offices or schools.

Usually the way you obtain that stuff is through county auctions.  Those auctions are on the Internet and we have shown how to get to those pages to see what the county is selling.

Now if they are not getting county goods at auction, is the county using this store as a front to sell merchandise and not reporting the sales?  If that is the case, who is pocketing the money?  Is someone in the county giving them this merchandise for free which would fall under unreported income?  Both a State as well as IRS tax violations?

We are going to be fair here, it could be that they bought this piece at a local yard sale, (not likely), or they could have bought it at a non government auction, however, with the county employment code the way it is, why would any employee who owns a business take the chance of having something like this in their store knowing what the potential appearance looks like?  What does that appearance look like?  Well that is what we started out with.  Illegal activity.  A front for unscrupulous employees working together to fatten their own pockets at tax payer expenses.  Is this store moving stolen county goods?  We don't know.  We only know what we saw and took pictures of.  Is this the only piece?  Well this is the only one that still had an ID on it.  Plenty of other stuff looks like it came out of the local schools but there are no identifiers.

This looks like more of the typical Animal Control employee criminal activity that the entire department seems to keep finding itself wrapped up in.  Criminals with no regard for the law.

Gloucester, VA Surplus Auction Site Information

In the event you were not aware that Gloucester County, Virginia has it's own surplus auction site, we found it and are bringing it to you.  A few days ago there was a good amount of items on here, however, those auctions ended and some people got some nice bargains.  Printers, office furniture and supplies.  At the moment, the only items on the site are two county trucks.  You can see above the starting asking price.

http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/gloucester,va/list/current?orgid=19242  This is the link to the auction site page.  Once there, you can bookmark the page to make it easier to find in the future.  It's not easy to find on your own.

http://dgs.virginia.gov/OfficeofSurplusPropertyManagement/Auctions/StateSurplusAuctions/tabid/855/Default.aspx  Here is the link to Virginia State surplus auctions.

We could not find an auction for Mathews county surplus.

York County has an auction site.

http://www.yorkcounty.gov/Default.aspx?tabid=7298  Link to York County surplus auciton site.

For Gloucester County surplus auctions, it is against Gloucester county government policy for government employees and their families from bidding on and or buying the surplus auction items.

We did a little navigating on the auction site at the top and it's a state wide site so you can search counties and towns throughout the state.  We found laptops and printers, cars and trucks and all sorts of other items on the site.

The above car is a 2001 Chrysler with a present price of $305.00  and is at the Gloucester County school board auction.  Dig around, you will be surprised at what you find.  And to think, you did not have to pay for this information.  You get it all here for free.  Gloucester, Virginia Links and News.  More useful by the day.
