Gloucester, VA School Board Budgets

Open Letter to the Citizens of Gloucester County Virginia

The Virginia Constitution was written for us to limit the government intrusion into our lives.  Have you ever read the Constitution of the United States? How about the Constitution of Virginia? How about the County Code?

"The Land of the Life Worth Living" for everyone in the county.

I was watching your February meeting and had to stop after listening to the discussion started by Mr. Meyer about a 31 January Daily Press story.

Mr. Meyer referred to a Dr Kiser and cutting the School Board Budget.

Is this The Kiser that is bringing us a $28 million Swamp School?

Is this The Kiser that did not listen to citizens to repair the existing school for less than $10 million?

Is this The Kiser that allows his staff to illegally use government vehicles for personal use?

Is this The Kiser that closed a school to make it an Administrative Building?

Is this The Kiser that is spending a large amount of money to refurbish a school, not suitable for our children, into an office complex for the School Administration?

Is this The Kiser that promised us good teachers and schools 10 years ago? Is this The Kiser that is administrator while we lose VA School Accreditation?

Mr. Meyer why would you listen to him?  The School Board Budget should be cut if this is the best they can do?  The funding should be going to students and their needs to succeed in life not the School Administration that is not in the schools.  The Administrative Staff should be co-located in our schools not in an Ivory Tower located away from the students and teachers.  No funding from the county should be used to support such facilities for the School Board.

I listened with great interest to the school teacher that spoke during the citizen comments time.  I heard what he was saying “The School Board is taking the funding away from our students and spending it on The School Board Administration.”  I think he is telling you the Board of Supervisors should take more control of the School Boards funding to bring this under control.

I think Ms. Garton is a good magician trying to pass herself off as an accountant? Make sure you get a line item budget and not a bottom line budget that cannot be figured out?  We are looking forward to the new board getting out spending under control.

I have a request; please take the kool aid away from Mr. Hutson if he keeps making irresponsible comments like he did during the school board budget discussion he will have a difficult time when he comes up for re-election.

Bring back the rule of legal laws and responsible budgets and make this "The Land of the Life Worth Living" for everyone in the county.

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the law of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence." --John Adams, Defence of the Constitutions of the Government of the United States, 1787

"It will be remembered, that a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles is solemnly enjoined by most of the state constitutions, and particularly by our own, as a necessary safeguard against the danger of degeneracy, to which republics are liable, as well as other governments, though in a less degree than others." --James Madison, Report of the Virginia Resolutions

The above video clip is from the Board of Supervisors meeting and is from one of Gloucester's own teachers.  How he can stand there and make the statements he made is beyond us.  Mr Jay is right.  We can not have an out of control school administration that seems to make money disappear before it even goes towards education is a crime.  It's not about the children.  It seems to be more like how much can they pocket before they have to spend any money towards education.  Here is the latest on pure waste from the Gloucester Public School System.

This series of pictures comes from Monday, February 3rd, 2014 at between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM.  It was taken at the Hess gas station along route 17, south in the Courthouse area.  No mistake that it's a county school board vehicle.  It's there because whomever is driving it is using it for personal use.  A violation of School Board code as stated by the Kiser, a violation of county policy and a violation of State Code.  Yet the Kiser sees nothing wrong with the pure waste of taxpayer money.  He also saw nothing wrong with rigging the system for the new Page Middle School either that is costing everyone millions of dollars.  How much kick back did he get?

Cut the budget on the school board and not by a little.  Cut it by a lot and do not give them any more.  Force them to live within their means and stop wasting our money.  If they cut teachers and programs, cut them.  Outsource them to China.  We need to force out the criminals and get the school board back under control.

Sheriffs Department operates one shift per day?

Open Letter to the Citizens of Gloucester County Virginia

"The Land of the Life Worth Living?"

The Virginia Constitution was written for us to limit the government intrusion into our lives.  Have you ever read the Constitution of the United States?  How about the Constitution of Virginia?

Listening to the Sheriff speak during the Board of Supervisors meeting last week.  Sheriff Warren said when asked about escorting the judges that they only have one shift per day and it would require overtime to escort judges to their cars.  If the sheriff’s office is only operating one shift per day who is keeping us safe when they are not on duty? Does this explain the crimes at night?  Why do we see sheriff’s vehicles on the road and at local businesses all hours day and night?  Is this for personal errands?  When is a good time to call to ensure we will get a response or someone will answer the phone?

Maybe we should consider doing away with the Sheriff’s Department and getting a professional Police Force?  One that is there to ensure the rule of law is obeyed and enforced; not an organization that serves at the Sheriff’s convenience? This would help to make it "The Land of the Life Worth Living?"

I am not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice.  Our founding fathers used common sense and Christian scripture when establishing our founding documents.

“For the Common Good. “

Sincerely,
Alexander James Jay

P.S.  "The nature of the encroachment upon American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer; it eats faster and faster every hour. The revenue creates pensioners, and the pensioners urge for more revenue. The people grow less steady, spirited and virtuous, the seekers more numerous and more corrupt, and every day increases the circles of their dependents and expectants, until virtue, integrity, public spirit, simplicity and frugality become the objects of ridicule and scorn, and vanity, luxury, foppery, selfishness, meanness, and downright venality swallow up the whole of society." --John Adams, to the Inhabitants of the Colony of Massachusetts Bay, 1775

Anti Federalist Papers No. 27 – The Use Of Coercion By The New Government (Part 2)

"JOHN HUMBLE's," following piece was published in the Independent Gazetteer, October 29, 1787.

The humble address of the low-born of the United States of America, to their fellow slaves scattered throughout the world - greeting:
Whereas it hath been represented unto us that a most dreadful disease hath for these five years last past infected, preyed upon and almost ruined the government and people of this our country; and of this malady we ourselves have had perfect demonstration, not mentally, but bodily, through every one of the five senses. For although our sensations in regard to the mind be not just so nice as those of the well born, yet our feeling, through the medium of the plow, the hoe and the grubbing ax, is as acute as any nobleman's in the world. And, whereas, a number of skillful physicians having met together at Philadelphia last summer, for the purpose of exploring, and, if possible, removing the cause of this direful disease, have, through the assistance of John Adams, Esq., in the profundity of their great political knowledge, found out and discovered that nothing but a new government, consisting of three different branches, namely, king, lords, and commons or, in the American language, President, Senate and Representatives - can save this, our country, from inevitable destruction. And, whereas, it has been reported that several of our low-born brethren have had the horrid audacity to think for themselves in regard to this new system of government, and, dreadful thought! have wickedly begun to doubt concerning the perfection of this evangelical constitution, which our political doctors have declared to be a panacea, which (by inspiration) they know will infallibly heal every distemper in the confederation, and finally terminate in the salvation of America.

Now we the low born, that is, all the people of the United States, except 600 thereabouts, well born, do by this our humble address, declare and most solemnly engage, that we will allow and admit the said 600 well born, immediately to establish and confirm this most noble, most excellent and truly divine constitution. And we further declare that without any equivocation or mental reservation whatever we will support and maintain the same according to the best of our power, and after the manner and custom of all other slaves in foreign countries, namely by the sweat and toil of our body. Nor will we at any future period of time ever attempt to complain of this our royal government, let the consequences be what they may.

And although it appears to us that a standing army, composed of the purgings of the jails of Great Britain, Ireland and Germany, shall be employed in collecting the revenues of this our king and government, yet, we again in the most solemn manner declare, that we will abide by our present determination of non-resistance and passive obedience - so that we shall not dare to molest or disturb those military gentlemen in the service of our royal government. And (which is not improbable) should any one of those soldiers when employed on duty in collecting the taxes, strike off the arm (with his sword) of one of our fellow slaves, we will conceive our case remarkably fortunate if he leaves the other arm on. And moreover, because we are aware that many of our fellow slaves shall be unable to pay their taxes, and this incapacity of theirs is a just cause of impeachment of treason; wherefore in such cases we will use our utmost endeavors, in conjunction with the standing army, to bring such atrocious offenders before our federal judges, who shall have power, without jury or trial, to order the said miscreants for immediate execution; nor will we think their sentence severe unless after being hanged they are also to be both beheaded and quartered. And finally we shall henceforth and forever leave all power, authority and dominion over our persons and properties in the hands of the well born, who were designed by Providence to govern. And in regard to the liberty of the press, we renounce all claim to it forever more, Amen; and we shall in future be perfectly contented if our tongues be left us to lick the feet of our well born masters.

Done on behalf of three millions of low-born American slaves.
JOHN HUMBLE, Secretary

Anti Federalist Paper No. 16 - EUROPEANS ADMIRE AND FEDERALISTS DECRY THE PRESENT SYSTEM

“ALFRED” defended the Articles of Confederation, taken from The New-York Journal, December 25, 1787 as reprinted from the [Philadelphia] Independent Gazetteer.

To the real PATRIOTS of America: . . . America is now free. She now enjoys a greater portion of political liberty than any other country under heaven. How long she may continue so depends entirely upon her own caution and wisdom. If she would look to herself more, and to Europe less, I am persuaded it would tend to promote her felicity. She possesses all the advantages which characterize a rich country-rich within herself, she ought less to regard the politics, the manufactures, and the interests of distant nations.

When I look to our situation-climate, extent, soil, and its productions, rivers, ports; when I find I can at this time purchase grain, bread, meat, and other necessaries of life at as reasonable a rate as in any country; when I see we are sending great quantities of tobacco, wheat and flour to England and other parts of the globe beyond the Atlantic; when I get on the other side of the western mountains, and see an extensive country, which for its multitude of rivers and fertility of soil is equal, if not superior, to any other whatever when I see these things, I cannot be brought to believe that America is in that deplorable ruined condition which some designing politicians represent; or that we are in a state of anarchy beyond redemption, unless we adopt, without any addition or amendment, the new constitution proposed by the late convention; a constitution which, in my humble opinion, contains the seeds and scions of slavery and despotism. When the volume of American constitutions [by John Adams] first made its appearance in Europe, we find some of the most eminent political writers of the present age, and the reviewers of literature, full of admiration and declaring they had never before seen so much good sense, freedom, and real wisdom in one publication. Our good friend Dr. [Richard] Price was charmed, and almost prophesied the near approach of the happy days of the millennium. We have lived under these constitutions; and, after the experience of a few years, some among us are ready to trample them under their feet, though they have been esteemed, even by our enemies, as “pearls of great price.”

Let us not, ye lovers of freedom, be rash and hasty. Perhaps the real evils we labor under do not arise from these systems. There may be other causes to which our misfortunes may be properly attributed. Read the American constitutions, and you will find our essential rights and privileges well guarded and secured. May not our manners be the source of our national evils? May not our attachment to foreign trade increase them? Have we not acted imprudently in exporting almost all our gold and silver for foreign luxuries? It is now acknowledged that we have not a sufficient quantity of the precious metals to answer the various purposes of government and commerce; and without a breach of charity, it may be said, that this deficiency arises from the want of public virtue, in preferring private interest to every other consideration.

If the states had in any tolerable degree been able to answer the requisitions of Congress-if the continental treasury had been so far assisted, as to have enabled us to pay the interest of our foreign debt-possibly we should have heard little, very little about a new system of government. It is a just observation that in modern times money does everything. If a government can command this unum necessarium from a certain revenue, it may be considered as wealthy and respectable; if not, it will lose its dignity, become inefficient and contemptible. But cannot we regulate our finances and lay the foundations for a permanent and certain revenue, without undoing all that we have done, without making an entire new government? The most wise and philosophic characters have bestowed on our old systems the highest encomiums. Are we sure this new political phenomenon will not fail? If it should fail, is there not a great probability, that our last state will be worse than the first? Orators may declaim on the badness of the times as long as they please, but I must tell them that the want of public virtue, and the want of money, are two of the principal sources of our grievances; and if we are -under the pressure of these wants, it ought to teach us frugality-to adopt a frugal administration of public affairs . . .

Hidden History - Slavery And Conversion In The American Colonies

Portrait of Thomas Jefferson by Rembrandt Peal...

What we are about to present we are calling hidden history for the very simple fact that it is hidden on the one hand and yet open and searchable on the other hand.  The reason we say it is hidden is because it touches on the subject of religion and is very religious in it's very nature.  Because it is religious based, it is not taught in the vast majority of schools here in the United States or in most other places around the globe.  In the US it can not be taught because of the so called separation of Church and State that has been so incorrectly interpreted.

Therefore there is tremendous misunderstanding about the very nature of slavery in both American history as well as world history.  What everyone is fed these days as history is the events that happened, not why they happened or the why it happened can not be properly discussed because of the separation of Church and State.  Therefore, history is skewed in unnatural ways, and misunderstandings abound.  Interpretations can not be properly made when a great deal of the history of history is removed from the books.

The separation between Church and State is so that one could not take control over the other as was common throughout most of history.  Church and State has always been so intertwined that it was nearly impossible to tell where one area started and ended against the other.  The founding fathers did not one Christian denomination to take control over another.  They  left it up to the individual to follow the dictates of his or her own conscious, hence religious freedoms, but not freedom from religion.  As John Adams has stated, "The US Constitution is for a religious people and will serve no other."

The Fist Amendment of the Bill of Rights clearly states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.  What has Congress done instead?  They have made laws prohibiting the free exercise thereof.    This has been done in direct violation to the US Constitution.  What we would further like to point out, there is no such thing as the separation of the media and religion, or business and religion.  In fact, there is no reason that churches can not start to take over areas of the media, businesses and other areas of concern.

It could prove critical to the future of the United States for religious concerns to start taking over areas of the media and businesses.

Now to get back on track to the reason for this article.  Slavery and conversion.  We are not making a case either for or against what we are about to present.  We will be showing in the very near future the supporting documents to the one we are about to present.  We are leaving it up to each individual to come up with their own opinions on what you are about to read, should you choose to continue.

We The People - Liberty's Kids, John Adams and E-books

The final episode of Liberty's Kids, number 40, We The People.  We have posted the entire series on here now along with a large number of history books, stories, pictures and artwork.  Though this is the end of the series for Liberty's Kids here, it is not the end of our Liberty Education Series by any means and we want to thank everyone for the continued and outstanding support you have shown us on these posts.

Thomas Jefferson" target="_blank">Declaration of Independence in Draft - Thomas Jefferson from Chuck Thompson

As part of our farewell to Liberty's Kids for now, we have created this very special and very rare view of the Declaration of Independence.  The first 4 pages are in draft mode as written by Thomas Jefferson.  This version was not destroyed but instead preserved.  The 5th page is the final document with all the signatures.  We just published this for the first time.

From the mini series, John Adams.  This is a great cut and fits perfectly here.  It gives a really good idea of just how difficult it was for our forefathers to make the decisions they did.

So our forefathers moved on to create a more perfect union.  Now begins the Federalist papers in that march.

The Document That Changed The World

Liberty's Kids episode number 12.  Common Sense.  The introduction of Thomas Paine.  The art work is very good.  Thomas Paine actually looks like Thomas Paine.

This is a painting of Thomas Paine.  So you can see that the work done for Liberty's Kids is really top notch.

7th Virginia Regiment is pictured to the left here.  This photo was taken in Gloucester, Virginia around the Memorial Day weekend holiday a few short years ago.  It gives you an idea of what American Troops looked like.  So again, you can see the work done in Liberty's Kids is top notch.

Here is a copy of Common Sense.  The cartoon above only touches on small areas of the document as they are under time restrictions.

http://www.putlocker.com/file/9DCB3D8BBBAB7EA2  Link to a free copy of the above document.  You never hear this document being discussed by our politicians.  This is the document, as seen in the cartoon above, that ignited the American Revolution and brought about the Declaration of Independence.  One has to wonder why politicians will not discuss it.  ???  We have to ask.

You can listen to Common Sense here.  We just learned that there is are limitations on the listening podcasting above.  There is a limit of only 5 minutes per file.  We were not aware of this before and are working on finding a new podcast host.
